Research on Government and Politics
Fall 2017 & Spring 2018.
As the Director of Undergraduate Research for the Policy Agendas Project, I teach a year-long undergraduate course on research on American government and politics. I lecture on the building blocks of research and guide students through the development of original research projects. Students in the course also serve as research assistants for the U.S. Agendas Project - I train them on the coding scheme and manage their collection and coding of Project data.
My lecture slides and coding training materials may be found here. I am happy to supply the answer keys to training documents upon request.
I have been fortunate to serve as a Teaching Assistant for a number of courses on American politics and policy.
